Managing Director inq. Nigeria

Valentine Chime

Valentine Chime is the Managing Director, inq. Digital Nigeria. Before this role, he had held various C-suite positions in several portfolio companies in different sectors. Valentine worked at Aruwa Capital; a private equity company, which invests across West Africa.

Before joining Aruwa Capital, Valentine was at Kaizen Venture Partners; a private equity company focused on distressed assets.

He has a B.Sc., Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos (Nigeria).

Chief Technology Officer at inq. Nigeria

Stephen Okoye

Stephen is the Chief Technology Officer at inq. Nigeria. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also holds a Diploma in Internet Service Provider Design and Backbone Routing from the United States Telecommunications Training Institute in Washington DC and an MBA from the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom.

He has over 14 years of experience spanning Business Solutions Consulting, Technology, Telecommunications, Systems Integration and Product Development, working in various capacities.

Prior to joining inq. he was the Head, Solutions and Managed Network Services, at Dimension Data where he was committed to providing clients with the next strategic solution that would not only reduce their CAPEX or OPEX costs but will also drive revenue and profit.

Peter Evbota

Peter is the Sales Director at inq. Nigeria. He is highly accomplished and experienced with over 20 years of expertise in management across various industries, including technology sales, financial analysis, treasury management, research management, operations management, marketing planning, strategic planning, enterprise marketing, and partner strategy, as well as programs leadership in technology and sales management.

Peter earned his B.Sc in Economics and his MBA from the University of Lagos, Lagos Nigeria, and also completed the IBM Global Sales School. Before joining inq., he served as the Global Head of Enterprise Sale – Lori Systems/Managing Director at Faru Technologies Inc.

With a profound understanding of the Middle East and African regional markets and extensive knowledge of start-ups, Peter is well-equipped to drive inq.'s new business development initiatives. He is a natural collaborator and has gained practical experience across key verticals, including the Power Sector, Manufacturing (FMCG like British American Tobacco), Information Technology (Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle), and start-ups (Lori Systems, Faru Technologies, and App Central Group).

Adeola Owolabi

Adeola is an experienced Chief Legal Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in Construction Law, Legal Writing, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, and Litigation. She has worked in various multinationals including Venture Garden Group as Head, Legal Services, Afara Partners and 100 Kobo Logistics Limited as Legal Counsel.

Patricia Aiyedun

Patricia is a seasoned finance professional with experience in diverse industries such as telecommunication, oil and gas, power and hospitality. As a ‘big 4’ financial services professional, she has led professional services to organisations of varying sizes and complexities within and outside Nigeria. While as the CFO in a fast-growing ISP with operations in West Africa and the United States, Patricia led the finance and procurement functions to reposition the organization for growth and profitability within a relatively short time.

Her expertise covers strategy formulation and implementation, due diligence on M&A transactions, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, auditing, treasury operations, regulatory compliance, accounting advisory, controls and joint venture operations review.

Executive Chairman

Andile Ngcaba

Andile Ngcaba is the Executive Chairman for inq. with a focus on providing top-level leadership to the inq. group executives. He is also the controlling shareholder and non-executive Chairman of Convergence Partners.

He has participated on ICT decision-making forums and has influenced the formation of various African forums and organisations responsible for shaping the ICT sector at National, Continental and Global levels through his activities on various bodies including the ITU, ICANN and the African Union.

In his international organisational activities, Andile served on the Board and High-level Panel (serving as the business sector chair) responsible for the outcomes of the Netmundial multi-stakeholder conference on Internet governance, hosted by the Brazilian government in April 2014. He also serves on the council of The National Advisory Council on Innovation (NACI). The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University appointed him as an Adjunct Professor of the University, affiliated to the faculty of science.

Group Chief Executive Officer

Nick Reed

As the Group Chief Financial Officer of inq. Nick is responsible for group financial strategy and reporting, financial compliance, and oversight of the financial functions of the inq. regions and at the centre. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Group Exco, Nick also contributes to the overall strategy formulation and running of the Group business.

Nick has 38 years experience as a Chartered Accountant. Having spent 5 years in the auditing profession and 23 years in Mergers & Acquisitions at local and international banks.

Nick headed up strategy for Barclays in Africa. He spent 6 years as the Managing Director for the Developing Markets division of Internet Solutions which comprised 4 enterprise ISP businesses in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Mozambique. The business trebled in revenue terms over the period and comprised almost 600 people.

Adebayo Kazeem

Adebayo Kazeem is the Head of West Africa for Convergence Partners based in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining Convergence Partners, Bayo spent 6 years as a Principal with the Carlyle sub-Saharan Africa Fund focused on Africa buyout and growth opportunities, and portfolio management. He spent 6 years at Renaissance Capital, as a Director focused on origination and execution of SSA transactions. He was previously at Lehman Brothers in the London based investment banking team where he focused on the European natural resources sector and prior to that Solutions Architect for Micromuse Limited (an IBM company providing enterprise software). Bayo holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD; an M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London; and a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos.

Uchenna Enebeli

Uchenna Enebeli is a non-executive director of inq.Digital Nigeria. She is an investment professional with Convergence Partners, a TMT focused Private Equity Fund in Africa. Prior to joining Convergence Partners, she was an associate at Kaizen Venture Partners in Nigeria. Uchenna has over 10 years’ experience in investing and managing portfolio companies across Africa. She further sits on the boards of other bluechip companies on the continent. Uchenna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and is a CFA charter holder.
