We are a Pan-African Cloud and Digital service provider. We have points of contact in 12 African cities, Johannesburg, Gaborone, Lusaka, Ndola, Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and Abidjan.

Our experience in African telecommunications spans over two decades and today, we connect over 1200 of the continent’s largest and leading corporations in over 40 countries. We work closely with multinationals in all sectors of African commerce – from banking and finance, oil and gas, mining and construction right through to retail and distribution , as well as tourism.

Headquartered in Mauritius, we were founded in 2013. We are a Convergence Partners company, which is an investment management firm focused on the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector in Africa.

Executive Chairman

Andile Ngcaba is the controlling shareholder and non-executive Chairman of Convergence Partners.

Dr Christian Wirtz

CEO

Christian, who holds a PhD in Economics, brings a wealth of Telecoms and Enterprise Business experience in Europe and Africa.

During his time in the Enterprise Business Unit at MTN, he played an instrumental part in turning the business around from revenue decline to double-digit growth.

Before joining MTN, Christian held several Senior Management roles in Vodacom South Africa, Vodafone Germany, and the Vodafone Group organisation. Christian also spent 7 years with McKinsey & Company. (His final appointment is subject to pending approvals).

Nick Reed

CFO

Nick is a Chartered Accountant of 38 years standing. Having spent 5 years in the auditing profession and 24 years in investment banking, in 2012 Nick was appointed Managing Director of the African operations outside of South Africa of a leading pan African Enterprise Internet Service Provider.

Valentine Chime

Managing Director

Valentine Chime is the Managing Director, inq. Digital Nigeria. Before this role, he had held various C-suite positions in several portfolio companies in different sectors. Valentine worked at Aruwa Capital; a private equity company, which invests across West Africa.
Before joining Aruwa Capital, Valentine was at Kaizen Venture Partners; a private equity company focused on distressed assets.

He has a B.Sc., Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos (Nigeria)

Solomon Ogufere

Commercial Director

Solomon has over 18 years’ experience spanning Product development, Project and Vendor Management, Information Systems, Quality assurance and Marketing, working in various multinationals including Cisco Systems Ltd UK, Royal Bank of Scotland UK, Pfizer Ltd UK and MTN Nigeria Communication Ltd.

Solomon holds a Master’s of Administration (MBA) from the Cardiff Business School Wales, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) from the University of Benin, Nigeria

 
 
 

Adebayo Kazeem

Director

Adebayo Kazeem is the Head of West Africa for Convergence Partners based in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining Convergence Partners, Bayo spent 6 years as a Principal with the Carlyle sub-Saharan Africa Fund focused on Africa buyout and growth opportunities, and portfolio management. He spent 6 years at Renaissance Capital, as a Director focused on origination and execution of SSA transactions. He was previously at Lehman Brothers in the London based investment banking team where he focused on the European natural resources sector and prior to that Solutions Architect for Micromuse Limited (an IBM company providing enterprise software). Bayo holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD; an M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London; and a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos.

Ameze Osague-Iduh

Executive Head, Human Resources
Ameze Osague-Iduh is an HR professional, with over 12 years experience.
 
Before Joining Inq, she had previously worked in various organisations serving as HR Lead at Kobo360,  a tech-driven logistics company; as Group Head, Human Resources at Vetiva Capital Management Limited, a Pan African Investment Banking Practice for 10 years while having a prior experience as an Associate with the law firm of Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie.
 
She has a first degree in Law, from the University of Benin and a Masters in International Business Law from the University of London. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.

Olumide Idowu

Executive Head, Operations

Olumide has over 17 years of Information Technology and Telecommunications management experience. He has managed multi-cultural virtual teams across the globe.

Olumide holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden; Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and undertook executive programmes at the University of Texas at Dallas ,USA; George Washington University, USA and the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Adeola Owolabi

Executive Head Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance

Adeola is an experienced Chief Legal Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in Construction Law, Legal Writing, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, and Litigation. She has worked in various multinationals including Venture Garden Group as Head, Legal Services, Afara Partners and 100 Kobo Logistics Limited as Legal Counsel.

Patricia Aiyedun

Executive Head, Finance

Patricia is a seasoned finance professional with experience in diverse industries such as telecommunication, oil and gas, power and hospitality. As a ‘big 4’ financial services professional, she has led professional services to organisations of varying sizes and complexities within and outside NigeriaWhile as the CFO in a fast-growing ISP with operations in West Africa and the United States, Patricia led the finance and procurement functions to reposition the organization for growth and profitability within a relatively short time.

Her expertise covers strategy formulation and implementation, due diligence on M&A transactions, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, auditing, treasury operations, regulatory compliance, accounting advisory, controls  and joint venture operations review.

Frederick A.E Udoaka

Executive Head, Business Development

Frederick is an accomplished Sales Director with sales and business development skills honed over 15 years in Senior Sales Leadership roles in IBM, Oracle, MTN, and Rack Centre. 

He is highly connected with significant C- Levels network, influencers, and key decision-makers. He is a qualified lawyer and a technology expert with strong executive presence, relationship-building skills, persuasive communication style, and a track record of delivering several executive-level presentations.  

He has negotiated multiple complex contracts and consistently attained revenue objectives with minimal risk. Frederick is enthusiastic about building successful teams, with an ambition to grow revenue and bottom-line profitability continuously. 

Uchenna Enebeli

Non-Executive Director

Uchenna Enebeli is a non-executive director of inq.Digital Nigeria. She is an investment professional with Convergence Partners, a TMT focused Private Equity Fund in Africa. Prior to joining Convergence Partners, she was an associate at Kaizen Venture Partners in Nigeria. Uchenna has over 10 years’ experience in investing and managing portfolio companies across Africa. She further sits on the boards of other bluechip companies on the continent. Uchenna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and is a CFA charter holder.
